FUNERALS
JUDY HAYCOCK.
Judys funeral will take place on TUESDAY 8TH. SEPTEMBER 1.15. at Redditch Crematorium.
MARJORIE POWELL.
Marjorie’s funeral will take place on MONDAY 14TH. SEPTEMBER 10.15 at Redditch Crematorium and then 11.00am at Christ Church for the main service..
Marjorie’s family have sent the following message “ The day will be as Marjorie wished it to be. Following the services at the crematorium and Christ Church, the wake will be held at THE HOLIDAY INN ON THE KIDDERMINSTER ROAD.
Marjorie requested dress code as “no sombre clothing as she loved to be colourful and cheerful”
Flowers are to be family flowers only. Memorial donations would be gratefully accepted if wished, we will advise shortly of chosen charities.
Please can anyone let Vicky know if you will be going to the wake so the family have approximate numbers, on Alan’s email.

HERITAGE WEEKEND.
Heritage Weekend will take place on the 19th and 20th. September, when the Church will be open all weekend. If anyone can spare a little time to come and “man” the Church over the weekend, it would be greatly appreciated, all you have to do, is meet and greet and show people around the Church, if needed.
On the Sunday afternoon, 2.00pm – 4.00pm, before the “Singing Villians” concert, tea coffee and cakes will be available, donations from this will be put towards the ChancelRoof . Also, if anyone can help put the bunting up outside Church, again, help would be greatly appreciated.
CHANCEL ROOF.
Things are moving ahead, albeit slowly. We have authorised the builders to go ahead with the repairs to the roof, just awaiting a starting date from them, and likewise, we are waiting for the report from the Bat society to see if we have bats roosting in the Church anywhere.
The architect, people from the Diocese and Historic England are coming on the 7tth. To see exactly what has happened and how bad the actual damage is, and what the way forward will be.
BREAST CANCER NOW.
Nan Adie would like to thank everyone who supported her Breast Cancer Now tea party in the Village Hall, £371. 07. Was raised for the cause.
